Richard Kabalisa started his career as Deputy Head of the IT Department at Ecobank, and later he joined MTN (Rwanda) as a billing systems and support manager.
In 2010, he joined SAP (CRM and ERP systems) as a consultant where he supervised solutions development and deployment, before becoming Head of the IT Department of LIQUID Rwanda in 2011. In 2013, he was named Head of the IT Department of Sanlam, focusing on infrastructure management, business service continuity, data security and controls.
Mr Kabalisa holds a Master’s in Communication Management from the College of Science and Technology (UR), as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar (Senegal).
Head of Human Resources and AdministrationSanlam General Insurance
Innocent Karemera started his career in 1987, and was appointed Financial and Administrative Manager for the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) in Rwanda shortly thereafter. In 2016, he moved to Sanlam where he was fulfilling the role of Administrative and Financial Director, before being promoted to Human Resources and Administration Director in April 2019.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Management of the University of Rwanda and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Ecole Nationale d’Administration Publique (ENAP) of Quebec, Canada.
Chief Finance Officer (CFO)Sanlam General Insurance
Felix Ndatsinze became Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of SAHAM Assurance Rwanda Ltd (non-life) in June 2016, prior to being appointed as Chief Finance Officer of Sanlam.
Before joining SAHAM, he worked as a tax and audit manager in GPO Partners Rwanda where he was recognised by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR) and accredited by BNR. Mr Ndatsinze has been a member of the ICPAR since 2013 and a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) London since 2014.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the Kigali Institute of Science, Technology and Management. He also has an MFM (Master’s) with specialisation in Financial Management from the University of Rwanda, in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh University India, sponsored by the World Bank and African Union. He currently sits on various boards of directors and is the chairperson of the Inspection Commission of ICPAR.
Chief Internal AuditorSanlam General Insurance
Janvier Ndamutso started his career in 2008 as Financial Auditor at the Office of the Auditor General of State Finances of Rwanda.
In 2013, he joined Ecobank Transnational Incorporation (ETI) as Senior Internal Auditor. In 2017, he joined SAHAM Insurance Rwanda Ltd as Head of their Internal Audit Department before joining Sanlam Assurance Générales PLC as Chief Internal Auditor. He has extensive knowledge and experience in audit planning, execution, reporting and supervision.
He graduated from CEPROMEC in 2010 with an MBA in Project Management and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Sciences from the National University of Rwanda.
Head of Human Resources and Administration DepartmentSanlam Life Insurance
Mrs. Aline Uwizera has 15 years’ experience in Executive human resource management, and has notable expertise in strategic human resource planning, performance management, staffing, employee benefits, compensation, payroll, and training and development.
Mrs. Aline is a Senior Professional in Human Resource International (SPHRi) and a Certified Human Resource Analyst (CHRA) through the Eastern and Southern Africa Consult, and the American Academy of Project Management. She completed also an Executive Leadership Development Programme from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. She is member of the Company Executive Committee and the Rwanda Human Resources Management Organization (RHRMO).
Academically, Mrs. Aline holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Economics obtained from the University of Rwanda.
Chief Finance Officer Sanlam Life Insurance
Mr. Celestin Musoni started his career in 1993 as Chief Accountant in Printer Set Ltd, a printing company. He has been serving as Chief accountant in petroleum, general business, and transport companies. He joined Murenzi Supply Company in 2004 as chief accountant and in 2008, he was promoted to the position of Chief Finance Officer in Murenzi Supply Company Ltd.
Mr. Musoni joined Sanlam Vie Plc in 2010 where he has led numerous projects to upgrade the company’s accounting systems which have improved reporting, analysis, and the technical working environment. In 2013, he was promoted to the position of Chief Finance Officer. Mr. Musoni holds a master’s degree in accounting and finance obtained from Annamalai University (India) and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Adventist University of Central Africa. Professionally, Musoni Celestin is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR), a Certified Pension Analyst and Chartered Risk Analyst. Mr. Celestin MUSONI is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) from CIMA and Associate of Chartered Institute of Management Accountant.

Mr. Charles has 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, driving the business through the provision of technology solutions. He started his professional career as an IT support officer in SORAS SA and he was later promoted to take charge of IT operations.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rugema Charles has taken up challenges and projects that have helped improve operations and service delivery in areas such as agents’ management, underwriting, premium allocation, claims reinsurance, actuarial, HR, finance, IT risk and IT governance, amongst others. During his tenure, he has implemented business systems that have greatly contributed to the growth of the company, and he led major IT projects on life industry level through Association of Insurers in Rwanda (ASSAR).
In terms of academic and professional journey, Mr. Charles Rugema holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from University of Rwanda. He completed his Master of Science in Project Management from University of Kigali, and he is a member of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
